Mark Jones joined SOS Security in July 2009 and currently serves as CEO.  Mark brings a wealth of business experience in operational roles at top-tier IT Security companies and leading high tech firms.  Mark has a 18 year track record of successfully managing sales, customer service, and marketing programs for leading information security companies including Security Dynamics, RSA Security, and Check Point Software.  Most recently Mark spent 10 years with Check Point Software Technologies, Inc. As a Director at Check Point Software, Mark oversaw operations in the Southern United States and the Caribbean where he grew his division an average of 55 percent year over year to over $65,000,000 in annual business.  Earlier in his career, Mark held various sales and sales management positions at Security Dynamics and RSA Security.

Mark has Bachelors degree in Business and Computer Science from Sam Houston State University.

Kirk Jones joined SOS Security in July 2009 and currently serves as President. Kirk brings more than 16 years of experience in the IT Security and Networking industries. His background reflects pioneering experience and record-breaking performance at several IT Security companies and top-tier high tech firms. Kirk most recently spent 8 years at Check Point Software as an individual contributor and South Central Area Manager. He has a proven track record of building teams that consistently achieve and exceed company revenue goals.  Since coming onboard SOS Security, Kirk has been instrumental in growing sales at SOS Security by over 400%.

Kirk has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin.

Mike Porter is the VP of Business Development for SOS Security.  Mike is responsible for the overall operation of SOS Security’s sales, consulting and marketing teams. In addition, Mike is an integral member of the team providing insight into the company’s vision, strategic planning, budgeting, financial forecasting, and vendor relationship management.  During his career, Mike has worked in every component of the Business Supply chain, from customer service, consumer retail, to Value-Added Reseller. This background has made Mike highly effective in his leadership role today.  Since its inception, Mike has helped SOS Security grow steadily into a premier security value added reseller and integrator in Texas and surrounding areas.  Mike has achieved specializations in negotiation strategies, strategic business unit management, supply chain management, finance and accounting information management for managerial decision-making and risk and operations management.

Mike has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration for Management from the University of Houston.

Pete Brown joined the company in January 2012 as VP of Sales. Pete brings a wealth of experience in Information Technology where he has a proven track record of strong leadership skills. Over the past 16 years he has always focused on a customer centric sales methodology that has built long term relationships that have lasted for years. Pete has a strong history of success where he consistently exceeded goals and was awarded top performing honors multiple times. Prior to joining SOS Security, he has held various positions at CA Communications, Network Associates, Check Point Software Technologies, Crossbeam Systems and most recently Imperva Inc. as Regional Sales Director.

Pete has a Bachelors degree in Business Communications from Texas Christian University

John Marler joined SOS Security in April 2011 as Chief Technology Officer. He is responsible for technical strategy and the SOS sales engineering & services organizations. John has over a decade of broad industry experience in engineering and deploying platform, network & security solutions for large enterprise IT organizations. His most recent experience includes acting as a principal territory engineer with Imperva, an industry leader in data security. Prior to Imperva, John engineered scalable, consolidated Next Generation Firewall solutions for Fortune 1000 customers as a territory engineer with CrossbeamSystems. John’s field experience is anchored by seven years of engineering global infrastructure & network security solutions as a senior network engineer with Dell IT in Austin, Texas.

John has Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University in College Station.
